Biggest Loser.

I felt my blood pressure rise last night as I watched Biggest Loser, I was so angry at the lady on the purple team (her name is not coming to me now). I used to be 220lbs, I would've given almost anything to work with Bob or Jillian, I almost wrote in for the show but didn't believe in myself enough. Look where I am today. I am going to post before pictures on here soon!

As for today, up at 4am to go to work. I work at a BAKERY! (oh so tempting, every day :-/) After work it's off to the gym.

B-I-N-G-O

In my physical therapy assistant class, I am required to do 12 hours of community service. I choose an adult daycare center in the town I live in. Today is BINGO day! These folks have a great time playing bingo and get really into it. Some of them have had strokes, some just come to the center to see friends, I hope that when I am around sixty or seventy that I still have the ambition to get out of bed and do fun things. I take that back, I KNOW that when I am sixty or seventy I will want to still live life to the fullest.

Last night I signed up for my FIRST 5k. Jingle Bell Run for arthritis! I am nervous because I have never done a race, and I am so excited to see what I can accomplish before December 5th. I tried to get my boyfriend to do the race with me...he declined. So, its me, myself and I. The race is 2 1/2 hours away, so i'm going to make a FIT trip out of it :)

Today for breakfast I had Oikos greek yogurt with honey and go lean crunch! Then around snack time I had a pear and 100 calorie pack of almonds.

At the gym today I ran 1.8 miles again, walked .2, and then only biked for a mile.

Lunch was leftover Amy's Organic Vegetable soup, grapes and broccoli :) Oh and don't forget the milk! (Stonyfield's organic fat free)

Last night, my Boyfriend had class so I kept myself pretty busy. I cleaned, moved the elliptical, did homework, watched biggest loser and made a running play list.

For dinner I had left over spaghetti squash, broccoli and chicken with cayenne pepper, it was spicy!! I also tried Silk milk, I don't think it's for me, it may take me some time to get used to though.

I also had carrots, celery and hummus before dinner for a snack and after dinner I had hot chai black and green tea

Whoo Hoo!

So, I just got back from the gym. :-) I ran 1.8 miles without stopping, usually I run like 3 minutes and then walk...and then give up. Last Friday I ran 1.5 miles, this is when I really starting believing in myself. This is when I was inspired to let nothing stop me because I am amazing.

Today I went out and bought packs of post-its. I am going to start putting up "beautiful" notes all over to help http://www.operationbeautiful.com/. You should too!

Also after the gym I had a big glass of Stonyfield's organic fat free milk (yum!) and a salad:

Spinach, Chicken Breast w/Cheyenne pepper, jimaca, tomato and avocado.

Now off to do some homework. Yippie :)

Dinner was delicious! I made spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and turkey burger (garlic and onions sauteed in it) and a large serving of broccoli :) talk about eating my veggies!
...I also had no sugar added icecream and some sherbet...:-/

G'day!

First let's start with my story. I am 23 years old, student physical therapist assistant. It took me a couple of years after high school to decide exactly what I wanted to do. It seems like I have always, always been on a diet of some sort because I was overweight at a young age. In highschool I went from 200 pounds to 160 pounds (by unhealthy means), then I gained all of it back and more, skyrocketing my weight to 220lbs. It took me over a year, but I went back down to 160lbs. I stayed at that weight for some time and over the last 8 months I lost about 10 pounds by counting calories and going to the gym, which always seems to make me binge about 3 times a month!

I have been trying to find a balance with my eating habits, because it seems to me that I may have a sugar addiction. I cant just eat one serving of frozen yogurt, I have to eat the entire container...

I have been reading food blogs for quite some time and here is my attempt to food blog also, we will see how this goes. This is also an attempt to help me reach my goal of running more than 1.5 miles.
